Opened in February 2024, the UFC Performance Institute in Mexico City supports a UFC Academy that will promote talent development throughout Latin America. This 30,000 sq.ft facility provides the largest MMA training area of all the three Institutes. To complement the sports specific training, the Mexico City Performance Institute emphasizes the most important concepts from both Las Vegas and Shanghai to provide an efficient training environment for athletes and coaches.

Supporting a UFC Academy, the UFC Performance Mexico provides another world-class environment for UFC Fighters and takes the best of Las Vegas and Shanghai and packs it into our newest facility.
01 WEIGHT ROOM
The weight room is fully equipped with every piece of equipment needed to develop the physical and physiological capabilities of an athlete. With resistance training areas for the development of strength, power and speed, pneumatic machines for training isolated muscle groups, a comprehensive suite of cardio equipment to challenge energy system development, and a synaptic sensory station for cognitive training relating to special awareness and reaction times, the weight room has everything. Outside there is a large turf area and cross-training rig.
02 ATHLETE LOUNGE
The Alexa Grasso lounge provides a calm and relaxing environment for athletes and guests to relax and chill-out doing their time at the Performance Institute. Whether its playing pool, watching TV, or lazing on the comfortable seating, the lounge is the place to hang out. We a beautiful terrace immediately off the lounge athletes can also get some fresh air and enjoy the beautiful Mexico City climate.
03 SPORTS MEDICINE CLINIC
The sports medicine clinic provides world-class care for athletes. With 6 treatment tables, a Pilates reformer, and a host of therapeutic modalities including dry needling, shockwave, cupping, e-stim, and more, the sports medicine clinic and our staff have the ability to support preventative treatments, acute care, and long-term post-surgical rehabilitation. Furthermore, the clinic also supports relaxation couches where athletes can undertake recovery modalities such as pneumatic compression.
04 RECOVERY ZONE
The crown jewel of the recovery zone is a huge dry sauna that can accommodate upto16 people and meets all the heat acclimation and weight-cutting needs of a combat athlete. In addition to the sauna, the recovery zone has a hot spa and cold plunge pool to accommodate the therapeutic benefits of hydrotherapy. The recovery zone is complemented with loungers for athletes to relax and recuperate after demanding training sessions.
05 FUELING STATION
At the heart of the Mexico City Performance Institute is the nutrition bar and fueling station. A comfortable seating area provides the perfect space to recover after workouts whilst consuming personally formulated smoothies and snacks, while also utilizing a comprehensive portfolio of third-party certified nutritional supplements to support the athletes needs.
06 SPORT SCIENCE LAB
The sports science lab support all the diagnostic and assessment needs for world class athletes. With a variety of exercise intervention methodologies to account for all sporting codes, including bikes, a treadmill, and a versaclimber, the sport science lab implements cutting-edge technologies for monitoring and evaluation. These capabilities include inspired/expired gas analysis, near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS), and heart rate monitoring.
07 PERFORMANCE NUTRITTION LAB
The performance nutrition lab is equipped with a dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) machine and metabolic cart to allow for the gold-standard evaluation of an athletes body composition and metabolism, respectively. In addition to a host of anthropometric and hydration evaluations, the nutrition lab provides the perfect place to consult athletes around their diet, recovery, sleep characteristics, and their fueling for optimal performance.
08 SPORT SPECIFIC TRAINING
With a mat area covering approx. 12,000sq.ft, two 25 ft. competition octagons, and a striking area with 18 different heavy bags, the MMA floor at the UFC Performance Institute Mexico provides everything fighters need to complement technical training and sparring needs. Equipped with cardio equipment, the potential for cross-training activities and active weight cutting are also supported.
09 CONFERENCE ROOM
The Brandon Moreno meeting room provides state of the art conferencing and AV technology to support all your meeting needs. Whether sharing data with athletes and coaches, providing a space for team meeting, a place for media activations and interviews, or hosting third party engagements, this conference room meets all your meeting requirements.
